Fruit

One of the best on-course snack options is fruit.  Fruit has only positive nutritional value for you as the golfer.  Anything from apples to oranges to grapes can be a satisfying sweet snack that will give you some much needed energy.

All fruits contain natural sugars, of course, which give your body the boost of candy bars or other sugary foods without the lethargic crash.  So they are a great way to keep your sweet tooth in check while on the golf course.

Additionally, most fruits contain essential vitamins that your body desperately needs to function at a high athletic level.  Energy drinks and energy bars attempt to give you these vitamins artificially in their products, but there is no substitute for the real thing.

The last major benefit of fruit on the golf course is that most fruit contain high levels of water.  So in addition to keeping your sugar level up, fruit also helps to keep you hydrated on those hot summer days.
