WGC Golf Course
Xenia, Ohio

Looking for a family friendly course?  Then WGC Golf Course is perfect for you.  The course boasts five sets of tees including a “family tee” which allows for a much shorter course for juniors and beginner golfers.  These tees allow for differing levels of play, making WGC one of the best courses for a day of family golf.

Since the two nines were built about 60 years apart, they differ a lot in design and layout.  The front nine is very flat but features a couple of tight fairways and challenging hazards.  For the most part, however, the front nine is pretty straight-forward coming in at a par 35.

The second nine could not be more different.  Almost every hole has some sort of hill.  These hills make it difficult to see the hole off of most tee shots.  On number 14, for example, there’s hardly anything to aim at off of the tee since it goes straight up a hill.

The greens at WGC are usually in pretty good condition.  However, they do tend to roll on the slow side.  Of course, slow greens are a plus for “family” golf, giving the kids a better chance of making their putts.
