One of the nicest public golf courses you’ll ever play, Duke Golf Club is the home to Duke University’s men’s and women’s golf teams.  The course has this amazing old-school country club feel to it that makes you feel like a million bucks.

With a hilly, wooded design, there’s trouble almost on every hole.  The deep fluffy sand bunkers often pose a threat.  And the fast-rolling greens are a challenge for most golfers.  But no matter how challenging the golf gets, the best part of this course is the natural beauty of the area.

Strategically placed fairway bunkers create tee shots that require strong strategy and course management.  There’s also a strong use of water hazards especially on par 3s and short par 4s.  Don’t let these get to you though.  Placement in the right areas can make them easily avoided.

And never worry about the practice facility being crowded because of the golf teams.  They have their own facilities at the course so the golf club’s state of the art practice facilities are usually open and have plenty of room. To learn more, visit Duke Golf Club.
