Golf is unnatural in many ways.A golfer who tops a ball will naturally try to lift the ball by
swinging upwards through the shot.A golfer who curves the ball to the right will try to control the
ball by swinging left.In each
case the natural remedy usually makes the problem worse.By understanding how the club head effects the ball spin, then
you can apply proper corrections, although they may feel unnatural.
A descending swing into the ball makes the ball slide up the club
face and thus helps to get it airborne. So drive your club down to a
lower point through the ball to make it go higher.
A swing to the right will create counterclockwise spin usually
helping the ball go left. So swing right to go left and swing left to go
right.
