Aim the Club First

Some golfers set up to the ball with their feet first thinking the feet are the most important part of the alignment to the target.  While your feet are important, they should be the last thing you aim.  Great golfers always position the club behind the ball, aiming the club down their intended target line first.  After the club is aligned to the target then the feet should set up parallel to the target line. This should get the hips and shoulders parallel to the target line since they usually follow the feet.  The order from most to least importance for alignment are; the club, the shoulders, the hips and last are the feet.  So aim the club first then your feet and your body will follow.
